Winston's Body was found on July 2nd, 2009 in the Porphyry Basin. Rest in peace my friend. The last communication Winston had with us was on August 27th, 2008 via a phone call from Lake City, CO. Please share any thoughts, information, suggestions, etc.

Knowing Winston, a thought of "destination" for him could be Uncompahgre Peak, which would be an estimated sub-30 mile hike to summit from Lake City. From Lake City, he would have needed to hike along the Henson Creek road to Nellie Creek jeep road, up to the trailhead. Just a thought. This isn't meant to focus attention in that particular area, but just by looking at the map it could be a reasonable location to check out. Thoughts???
While it is sad to know that he is no longer with us, it is comforting to know that he passed in a place where he most likely felt welcomed, in his element, and so at peace.
My condolences to his family and all of his many friends. We will miss him.
